Love Locks

Love locks are believed to have originated in Europe in the early 2000s and it has become a widespread phenomenon globally. Like for example the Love Lock Sculptures in Queen Elizabeth Park Vancouver British Columbia Canada. It was designed by Vancouver artist Bruce Voyce to celebrate the shelter that love brings and the union that it forms. It supports several thousand locks on the skirts of each couple. Their keys can be deposited in a box on site which will eventually be recycled or melted down to become part of another sculpture.

Some Other Love Locks Places

People still visit Ponte Milvio to lock their padlock to the bridge and declare their eternal love today. Paris actually has two Love bridges, the Pont de l’Archevêché and the Pont des Arts, which are probably the most popular love lock bridges in the World. Interestingly, one bridge was made for “lovers” while the other bridge was made for the “love of your life.”
